The Youth Ag Summit: What Is It?

In a nutshell, The Youth Ag Summit (YAS) is an event aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that brings together 100 global leaders aged 18-25 with an end goal to attend to the world’s most pressing problems. Think things like ending poverty, protecting our planet, and achieving Zero Hunger by 2030.

The 100 chosen YAS delegates get to experience a trip to the location of the summit for that year, among being involved in networking, debates, skills training, and project development. They also get to participate in industry tours, hear from expert speakers, and pledge action on “3 Little Things” to improve food security.

When Is It?

The next YAS will be held from 4 to 6 November in Brasilia, Brazil. Every two years, a summit is held in a different location with a different overall theme. Click below to read about past summits:

What’s In It For Me?

Aside from a free trip to the location of the YAS for that year, it also allows you to work together with other delegates to turn ideas with the most potential into a reality. It will help you develop the skills needed to deliver on these projects and make a difference.

Alright, I’m in. How Do I Apply?

Applications have closed for 2019, but you can still follow the summit and perhaps think about applying for the next one!
