Now in its fourth year, the iGiveLocal Program has to date donated over $100,000 to more than 190 local causes around the country.

The cheque was proudly presented to Coolah Hospital Auxiliary President Elizabeth Powell by Lee-anne Ticehurst of Haynes Farm & Hardware. With Coolah Hospital Auxiliary Treasurer Margaret Ingham and Secretary Trista Stibbard also in attendance. Representing Bayer, Greg Hunt made up the party.

The Hospital Auxiliary raises much needed funds for the Coolah Hospital, working hard to fill the gaps in funding to buy extras for patients and their families.

Lee-anne Ticehurst said: “Local fundraising has unfortunately been effected due to decreased farming incomes and the flow on effects for local businesses who are less able to donate money. This donation will certianly help the Hospital Auxiliary fund a few extras“.

Elizabeth Powell adds: “With the drought, we’re finding funding harder to come by, this generous donation will make a big impact and we’ll be able to purchase a new TV for the Palliative Care unit“.

Greg Hunt adds: “It’s fantastic to see the iGiveLocal Program having such a positive effect in communities that are suffering with the drought“.
