1 What weeds does Saturn control? Saturn controls barnyard grass (0 to 3 leaf stage) and certain annual sedges including Dirty Dora (0 to 2 leaf stage) in rice.
2 What is the advantage of Split Saturn over a single application of Saturn? ''Split Saturn' involves applying 2 applications of Saturn. The first, a pre-emergence application, suppresses weed germination of barnyard grass and Dirty Dora. This allows the rice to develop its secondary roots while the weeds are still small, giving rice growers more control over the timing of the second, post-emergence application, and providing better weed control and improving crop safety.
3 Can Saturn be mixed with Taipan and applied at sowing? No. Saturn should not be mixed with Taipan and applied at sowing. However, Saturn can be used at the secondary root stage of the rice to provide excellent control of barnyard grass and Dirty Dora, following the application of Taipan at sowing.
